You are so right. A couple of my friends have daughters the same age as my daughter, and all through the twos we would say, "Wow. Terrible twos? This is fantastic!" And then each of them turned three, and none of us was prepared.
There is a good book that's helping us, called "1-2-3 Magic". It is fantabulous.
I think they hit the Terrible Twos way before they turn two--more like when they become more mobile and even more so when they start to walk-- but the threes are worse by far--I think because they can talk back along with what they do!! How about the Tenacious Threes??
I think "terrible twos" was invented for the mother of twin 2 year old boys....although terrible 16's was harder !
ReplyDeleteOh my. Sounds like you're having the kind of week we're having.
ReplyDeleteJosh is on a tear this week. It's nuts.
It's an awful saying...they can be terrible at any age!
ReplyDeletei agree, three is much worse!
ReplyDeleteoh my word jess-that's like the funniest thing ever--HA!
ReplyDeleteI can totally agree - 3 IS worse. It should be "tolerable twos" and "terrible threes"
