Uncle Sam wants to dish back some of what we dished out to him so I'm thinking of putting a teensy bit of our return into a family fun trip.
I keep getting stuck on Florida (free housing)
and the Jersey Shore (convenient, fun and ocean-y).
I'd love to do a cabin in Gatlinburg (ahem SRV) and DollyWood or somesuchness.
Do ya'll have any excellent inexpensive vacation ideas for people with little ones?
If you do...
Pass 'em my way!

wish I could offer you some ideas - the ones you have are pretty good though.
What about an indoor water park?
You also have free housing at the shore!
*Florida is phenomenal, no matter what. I'm a warm-girl. That's what I would do and did last year.
*Jersey shore is always nice.
*We're looking to do a cabin in the Poconos this summer, for something different.
*Have fun! Uncle Sam is financing Josh's education this year... :)
There is a LOVELY camper that could be set up in any NY location of your choice......babygirl's portacrib would fit inside it!
fl-i think that would be awesome w/ little ones. that's what we have in the works for the summer-we'll see how that goes. i think that the kiddos would love a few days in disney=)
the jersey shore is always a huge hit but i'm thinking that you want to go bigger.
i think that the smokey mts. would be a huge hit too=) there's so much to do there!
i think that anyplace you can go and have a place to stay for free goes to the top of the list for obvious reasons=)
have fun planning!
Oh, I vote Disney... my parents are taking us there next Christmas and I cannot WAIT! Uncle Sam is providing us with a new bathroom this year, and it was a new roof last year... it'll be nice when Uncle Sam will just provide us with something that is nice, and not something that needs to be fixed!
Well, my vote is for Gatlinburg! It is awesome there! That is one of my favorite places on the earth and we would go there any time we could if we could afford it. Of course, there is also Lancaster, PA. It is beautiful, and not far from Hershey, PA. My hubby and I vacationed there and it was inexpensive and we found lots to do in Amish Country. :)
Dollywood all the way. Plus, the cabins are big and beautiful and CHEAP. Us Vaughns are always down for TN trip :)
We're thinking about doing something like this with my brother and his family next year.

Dutch Wonderland in PA. Stay at the Country Inn across the street from the park. They have a Christian Music fest there in mid-May. My three kiddos LOVED it last year. The park is geared for kids 10 and under.
We are doing florida in June for the same reason- free housing and DISNEY of course- ok- that ones not cheap- but the free housing has to make up for it right?
