After the parade yesterday we had a family bbq!
The kids had a great time in the pool and eating delicious, sugary, patriotic cupcakes! =)
I love having the cousins together--they're so stinkin' cute!
It was wonderful as always to spend time with some of our family!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!
And God bless you and *thank you* if you served or are serving our country in the armed forces!! We are so thankful for the freedom we enjoy as Americans and are thankful for this day to pay tribute to those who serve and have served and gave their lives for our country!
We had a wonderful day of family fun and enjoyed a local parade this morning! Here are some pictures I took of the kiddos before we met Granny and Pop, Aunt Micayla, Uncle Ryan and Kiddos at the parade!

This has been a jam-packed week for us! It was the last week of preschool for Maeve (tear!) and the start of some seriously summery weather! We spent every free minute running errands, taking long walks, going to the park with friends and we even had some lovely playdates! Here are some pictures of a beautiful morning with spent with our friends!!

In other news, we've been going to town on the back yard getting it ready for a family Memorial Day Celebration! Weeds and mowing and mulching Oh MY! Happy Sunday! =)

The kiddies and I had a great day! Ezra was up before the crack of dawn (5:45) for our morning jog--it wasn't as humid as yesterday so it was more enjoyable! We dropped Maevey off at prek and met our dear friends for a few laps around the lake! It was pretty warm out and felt summery! We enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife--baby ducks, geese, and turtles galore!
I brought them home for lunch and a few minutes of outdoor playtime before the best. naps. ever.
They went up at 12:30 and I had to WAKE them at 4.
How on earth did I get so lucky?
Hope your day was as happy as mine! =)

The weekend (3 day woot woot) is almost here! Yay!
I'm so excited to do absolutely nothing! =)
Yesterday was sooooo warmy/hot-tish and I liked it! It's so much stinkin' better than being bone cold like we were all winter! Ezra even has shorts on today! Woo hoo!
We were lucky enough to have a park date yesterday--but the kids got hot and melty pretty quickly and were so worn out from their outdoor adventures that they skipped lunch and went right to nap! I couldn't believe it! =)
Last night Mr. Wonderful had to work and Granny graciously came by to watch the children so I could head to FAT Camp at church! My friends run it and do such an awesome job--it's an amazing workout! I've still been (slow)jogging almost every day and I'm actually getting a little faster! I'm almost a (medium)jogger! =)
I measured my route the other day, and was sad that it isn't actually a little longer than it is.
But, I'm happy to report that instead of only being able to jog 1 block like when I started, I can jog my entire 1.3 mile route!
I think it's time to expand my horizons! =)
And although I haven't changed my eating habits (aside from kicking soda out of the house--I still drink it out, just not in =), I have lost 10 pounds in the last two weeks!
That's an amazing side affect I wasn't counting on!
Hopefully with the added discipline in my exercise life will come the ability to apply that discipline to my eating habits! Time will tell! =)
And, I forgot to mention the other day that my friend A *did* have her beautiful baby girls--healthy and gorgeous and wonderful! Yay!!
I hope ya'll have a happy Wednesday!

I just listed a bunch of cuteness on Ebay--take a look and see if something speaks to you!
Mama needs to earn money for a pool pass this summer! =)

I've been a little *off* the last couple of days
a little...ahem....cranky
yell-y even
And I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me
I just felt so.....
And after a particularly trying morning I sat down and did some research and discovered I am not crazy after all.
And, it's all his fault ------> =)
Turns out that uneven emotions/hormonal fluctuations are common after weaning.
I'm not sure I've ever been through this before because the other two times I was weaning children I was also pregnant---which makes me all crazy-like anyways so I probably didn't even notice
(I bet my husband did =).
So...it was a close call but hopefully I'll be all nice and sane-like in a few weeks.(?)
Hopefully sooner =)
Anyways, 4 more days until our long weekend! I can't believe the school year is over--every week we get a note from Amelie's K teacher and all the important dates are on it--the last two weeks the Last Day Of School has been one of the upcoming dates--SOB! So close to having a 1st grader! How can it be?!? =) I'm in denial a little bit.
Happy Monday!

Just Some Things I'm Thinking About Por Vous

1.I am so thankful for so many things--I need to remember this when I sit around stewing about the things I am not happy about (husbandworkingallweekend = mixed blessing).
2. My children are amazing, stunning, hysterical, fabulous, ridiculous, crazy, intense, exasperating, exhausting and wonderful. If you have a few hours I'd love to tell you endlessly about them. =)
3.I Corinithians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
4.The words of this song we sang in church today:
5. Another long week ahead but it ends with the promise of a three day weekend--Woot.
6. Pray for my friend, A, tomorrow, who is having twins! It's amazing and exciting--what a thrill to see lovely ladies become Mommas--favorite.
Good night!

What a lovely day!
I'm so thankful for the many, many days we've enjoyed without having to run our heat or AC. Woot!
I snapped a few pictures of the kiddos on the porch this morning--the girls are pros but Ezra kept turning his back and running--so I won't post any of his blurry-back-of-head-pics =)
Anywho, all the nonsense with Harry Camping predicting the end of the world, for today, in case you missed it, is so upsetting.
So many people have been needlessly scared and tricked by this man, not to mention the fact that people who follow Christ have been made to look super-foolish to the world.
True prophets speak the truth and don't make mistakes.
Christ will come back in *HIS* time and not according to any man's schedule.
You can have peace about the future.
The end of your life, all life, and the world is NOT a joke.
Any questions? Email me at michellerose630 at gmail dot com.
Some things are just too serious to be made light of.
Happy Saturday and God bless you!

The End, For Real.

In light of recent crazies, I can't help but share some truth. =)

Matthew 24:36-44
36“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,f but only the Father.
37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

yesterday morning i was in agony
i had the bright idea to start weaning ezra over the weekend
because, really, after breastfeeding assorted children almost constantly over the last 6 years
i. was. done.
we've gone well past my "goal" of march
and even though it's hard to say *no* to this darling face----->
i had  to stop because
it had just become annoying to me
and that's the last thing it should be....just so much for so many years and i need to not do it anymore.
i feel incredibly guilty about weaning him
isn't that motherhood though?
doing your best and when you've given all you can still feeling bad that you can't give a little bit more.
anyways--so, i was in AGONY and needed some cabbage leaves like woah and begged my husband to pick some up for me and
he did...
sort of....
except it was  a head of lettuce (which he assures me is the exact same thing as cabbage--to this i say, eat a cabbage salad instead of a lettuce salad and then we'll talk!)
see? lettuce:
anywho, i thought i was going to die for most of the day but took a nice long nap with the kiddos and some ibuprofen and felt 70% better. thank goodness because last night was FAT CAMP at church which some of my friends organized!
it was brilliant-
-they organized stations with activities and each one lasted 1 minute and you switched (strength training, cardio, abs rinse repeat). the music and company were outstanding and it was an awesome workout! i could really see the difference in my stamina since i have been (slow)jogging for the last couple of weeks--i was still exhausted at the end but i made it until the end! yippee!! can't wait to do it again!
and that my friends, is the news for now--happy wednesday!

my parents arrived yesterday!
i love having them here and so do the kiddos!
we haven't done anything very exciting--we've been getting rain (figures, when they get here our weather changes from perfection to normal rainy/cooler spring--still nice but not sightseeing weather!).
i did get to go to girls' night last night with some lovely ladies and really enjoyed the delicious food, the friends and the not-having-the-precious-little-children around! =)
today my mom treated me to an awesome shopping spree! she got me fantastic new running shoes and fancy running socks and a new swimsuit! it was a wonderful blessing!!
thanks ma!
and to top it all off, my husband and i got to go on a date night tonight while my parents stayed with the kids!
it is all kinds of awesome.
i hope ya'll had a great weekend!
they are always over much too quickly!

My handsome guy is getting so big!
I love him so!
