I didn't wake up dead AND M the Wonder Baby Strikes Again

Well, I survived my surgery today and Daddy survived watching the baby and the toddler (with the help of the fabulous Granny of the East!). It was a long day and I ended up waiting a longggggg time to be called in to surgery but M was a trooper and survived without me. I was able to feed her just before I was called into be prepped and was worried as I watched the hours tick by without being called in. The awesome anesthesiologist told me there is some new-fangled med. that I could be given so that I could breastfeed right away after surgery--HURRAHH!
Turns out M is not a picky eater though, I came home and gave her the bottle just because pumping it was so much work and she took it immediately and drank to her heart's content like a pro-it was some kind of miracle! She's never held nor seen a bottle and is already an expert...hmm...I'm sensing a girl's night out!
I don't want to gross you out so I won't tell you that after her nap A found the "baby's milk" on the floor and took a healthy swig of it and declared it, "Delicious!"
Hmm....yeah, some things are better left unsaid....

You'll have to retell that story to Amelie when she's a little older...it's fun to tell them the gross/weird/funny stuff they did when they didn't know any better!

I don't want to gross YOU out, so I won't tell you the story of the time my breastfeeding sister was in the midst of making macaroni & cheese when she discovered she didn't have any milk on hand. So as not to waste the macaroni...she said it didn't taste too bad, but my BIL refused to eat any of it. LOL

Waiting hours to be called in for something...typical. Glad everything went well for you. Amelie's drink story was cute and I agree...tell her when she gets older - she probably won't be too impressed :)
