This current sickness of Ezra's has been extremely difficult for me.
I'm tired and discouraged and can't really remember my childrens' sickness having this affect on me before.
I think it's a combination of
him being so young
and not just *sick* but having trouble breathing long after his symptoms have passed
not sleeping well or much b/c he hasn't slept well or much the last 2 weeks
taking care of everything like a normal person still
(cookingcleaninglaundrylaundrylaundrychildcareetc)
my husband's busybusybusy springtime schedule
not having many moments to myself that are uninterrupted
rain, cold, dark
you get the picture.
And I guess I just wanted to say that *this* is how I *real*ly feel right now.
Instead of just a heap of negative--I'll leave you with verses that I'm *trying* to take to heart at the moment--
Psalm 34:4
I sought the LORD, and He heard me,And delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 143:8-11
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.Teach me to do Your will,For You are my God; Your Spirit is good.Lead me in the land of uprightness. Revive me, O LORD, for Your name's sake! For Your righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
Psalm 94:19 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,Your comforts delight my soul.

The Psalms have always been my Balm of Gilead in times of trouble. Thank you for sharing, Shellgirl, and remember...
...Dad and I are a 10 min. drive away whenever you need us!
I am so sorry Michelle! It is really hard when they are little, I know Sammy was different, but it was sooooooo hard to see him soooo tiny and sick all the time and not able to breathe or eat etc.....I will pray for some relief....and I understand the hubby schedule...wish I could help...take up the Jersey Granny so you can have some me time!!!!
I know how you're feeling when you have a sick baby and you're tired, but you still have to do all of the other household things :-( Not fun.
Just throwing this out there, but if you ever want Maeve to come over and play with Ryleigh let me know. We have huge mountains of toys, everything's baby proof, and now that Ry is walking she can keep up w/Maeve a little better :-)
i'm so sorry that he is still struggling! i hate when tiny precious babies are sick :( i hope those verses are truly uplifting and, if i may, i have some more for you :)
This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have ahope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new aevery morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him.
Lamentations 3:21-24
love you!
Those are great verses!
Sending you virtual hugs...try to remember this is just a season and it will pass.
I'll continue to pray that Ezra gets better very soon too.
:)
Oh, sweet girl, it will get better, and in the meantime, just kiss those babies, hold those verses close to your heart if they bring you comfort, and remember that Nordstroms will still be there when this all passes!
