It all started when I took Mr. Wonderful to AC Moore with me and he saw a "really cool" Kinex Roller Coaster building set. He waxed poetic about the joys of his childhood and building things and so, I couldn't resist buying him a set for Christmas.
Friday night, Amelie and Daddy sat down to build the "roller-toaster" (as amelie, says).
For 3 beautiful hours, Amelie sat perfectly still--helping Daddy sort the pieces. It was no small task since there were like 1,000,000 pieces.
Literally.
Placing them carefully was a challenge.Amelie was this excited every single second!!

And finally, it works!!!
Amelie's excited "IT WORKS!!!" face!
And a high five for a job well done!
Next up, they are going to build the Ferris Wheel...
The only question is,
Where in the world am I going to store these things?!?

I wonder if he remembers a similar toy that we had when we were kids!? It also was a rollercoaster that used marbles and was a pain to keep together. But it was pretty cool!
I love the MSPaint shirt Amelie has on in the last pic.
That's so cool! Now I want some Kinex.
Okay, I don't really, because I know it would just result in me having to pick up a gazillion tiny pieces every day (or risk stepping on them). But it IS still cool.
You are going to have to wind up renting another apartment to keep your amusement park in. LOL
Ha! I didn't even notice the "shirt" before...that's great!
Way to encourage modesty, momma!
I'm just wondering who REALLY had more fun?!?
