Behold! Amelie's future shoe collection! I bought them a little bigger so that they'll work for the fall/winter/spring to come. And yes, I always get my girls' wardrobes the year ahead of time when everything is dirt cheap and clearancy...it just makes me happy.
* Thank you Target for clearancing out your entire collection of girl's shoes--I bought all this for $20!
Do you buy your kids' wardrobes ahead of time?
Does that work for you?
{It's been working well for us since Amelie has been growing at a steady rate and age has stayed trued to size--thank goodness!}

Ha! Doesn't work for me because my kids are predictably slow growers and their tops and bottoms never match up.
Shoes are easy, but I get a ton of hand me downs for both kids.
Am's shoes are adorable!
i'm pretty sure that sweet little toddler of yours has more shoes than me.....:)
amelie and hannah girl will math quite nicely next fall=)
Those are so cute Shelly. I do this too. And, I am fortunate--with having all three of my boys so close in age, I am usually not too concerned if a few of the things I buy don't fit one of them; cause at some point, I am fairly certain, everything that I have bought will fit at least 2 of them somewhere in their growing cycle!
I do buy ahead as well...and I buy a lot of LOTS on ebay. I go on and search things like "4T boy gap lot" or similar things. I have gotten lots of 50 pieces (tops, jeans, jackets/hoodies, shoes even) for less than 50 bucks, and that includes shipping. It can be a great deal, but you (of course) do have to watch and make sure you have a reputable seller. Also make sure that the clothing (if not stated in the seller's description) is free of tears, holes, stains, etc. You would think that would be an automatic, but it isn't necessarily.
It has worked out great so far...I love me some good deals on cute clothes!
I heart Target too....
Well, you know the saying..."If the shoe fits, buy one in every color!"
Those shoes are SO cute!!! Now I'm feeling a trip to Target coming on.....
I have clothes for the girls for about the next 2 years, although for Puckey I do not have many shoes beyond what she wears right now.
In addition to clearance sales, I am fortunate to have a family that gives us clothes from their little girl.
eBay is a pretty good resource, too, if you have time to search for a good deal.
Oh, and I just took a nap of about the same caliber as yours...now I'm really needing some caffeine.
I just scored a bunch of long-sleeved onesies for wicked cheap, an outfit (or two) and a supersoftie blanket for the upcoming bambino. I loves me some Tarzhay, too.
I just went to Target today...you got really good deals...ours weren't marked down that much and there certainly weren't any boys, but I did score a cute pair for myself for less than $6. Yay!
I totally buy my munchkin's clothes a season ahead of time. We already have 3/4 of her wardrobe for this coming spring/summer (since last summer). Last Spring Break, mom and I went and got 7 dresses with matching pant/legging type of things, matching socks, AND matching hairbows all for under $80.00. That's just a little over $10 for an ENTIRE outfit at GYMBOREE!! It's so much more fun buying a year ahead because we get so much more for what we would if we bought things that are in season. I also LOVE having a girl because we can buy lacey, frilly, fun outfits... you just can't do that with a boy. However, with my inner NEED to have a girl, I did state when I was pregnant that if my first kid was a boy I'd be fine..... but if my second kid was a boy.... he would be wearing lacey and frilly things until he was old enough to realize that his mother was emotionally traumatizing him for the rest of his Earthly life. Yes, huge runon, but oh well. I heart A's shoes! They're too cute!
I just took advantage of that sale too! Cameron got a new pair of cool big boy sneakers for $3 :D
buying ahead never, ever worked for me. judah grows at a strange and random pace. maybe this next kid will cooperate :)
